Mechanical Engineering is a core engineering discipline that was developed from the application of principles from physics and materials science. Student opted for this branch is going to study the engineering concepts involved in the analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of various systems.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, which requires a solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and energy. Students are trained to use the core principles as well as other knowledge in the field to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, motor vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more.

Along with the core subjects, this programme will provide the opportunity for the student to have knowledge on subjects related to Basic Sciences, Humanities, Computers, Electronics, Electrical and Integrated Advanced Subjects.

Students have to go through project works at different levels, Seminars, Industrial Visits and many more co & extra-curricular programs.

Modern technological developments covering MEMS, NANO, Biomedical etc have been a part of studies in this field of engineering only. The Mechanical engineering department has the following Laboratories, equipped with state of the art technology. Well-trained staff and highly experienced faculty provide hands-on training to the students imparting right skills to them during the lab classes.
